How to get an avatar to go with your account on Pubwages: Gravatars

Some of us have Avatars here on Pubwages and some have this funny little blank silhouette, instead of a personalized picture. How does that work? How can we upload our own pictures to use as avatars on Pubwages?

Here’s how:

  • Go to http://en.gravatar.com/
  • Give them your online name and the email address that you gave Pubwages
  • They will send you a confirmation email with a link. Click on it.
  • Upload your picture to their site. It will appear on ours within minutes as your avatar.

Be sure to use the same email address you gave us here on Pubwage when you open your account with Gravatar. They care a lot more about your email address than what your name is.

Amazon Ad Sharing Now Available on PubWages

I’m happy to announce that we now have Amazon ad sharing on Pubwages as well as adsense sharing. When you go to look at your user information, there will be a spot for you to fill in your own personal Amazon code. Are Inflatable Boats Seaworthy?

As summer approaches, many people are heading to the nearest body of water: a river, lake or even the sea. If you don’t happen to own a boat, besides a rental, here is an inexpensive option.

But are inflatable boats seaworthy? According to the Coast Guard, the Intex Excursion 5 Boat Set is! Though it is approved for five people, those who have actually used it say that it seats three comfortably. This is a boat that stores away in your closet, and inflates when needed.
